The rules and responsibilities that apply when using echoLife.

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of echoLife, including the website, workspace, profile setup tools, memory and trait inputs, AI-generated profiles, chat, voice features, feedback tools, and related services.
These Terms apply to the current version of echoLife and may be updated as the product, features, providers, pricing, and legal requirements evolve.

1. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account, accessing echoLife, or using any echoLifefeature, you agree to these Terms and to the echoLife Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
2. What echoLife Provides
echoLife provides tools that help users create private, AI-assisted memory and personality profiles using information entered by the user. Features may include profile setup, trait questions, memory storage, generated profile summaries, chat, transcription, and voice playback or voice generation.
echoLife is not a memorial authority, identity verification service, historical record, therapy service, medical service, legal service, emergency service, or substitute for professional advice.
3. Beta Status
echoLife may be offered as a Beta product. Beta features may be incomplete, experimental, rate-limited, interrupted, changed, or removed. Generated content, voice output, chat behavior, limits, pricing, storage, and account features may change as the product develops.
4. Your Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate account information where required and must not access another person's account without permission.
5. User Content and Responsibility
You are responsible for all content you enter into echoLife, including profile names, relationship details, life-stage notes, origin or location notes, physical descriptions, voice descriptions, short summaries, trait answers, memories, chat messages, feedback, and any other text, audio, or information you submit.
Memories and trait answers may include personal, sensitive, emotional, or confidential information, even if echoLife does not ask for formal identity data such as government ID numbers or addresses. You should only provide content that you have the right and authority to provide.
echoLife is not responsible for determining whether the information you submit is accurate, lawful, appropriate, consented to, or authorized. You are responsible for ensuring that your use ofechoLife and the content you provide complies with applicable laws, family expectations, privacy obligations, confidentiality duties, and the rights of others.
6. Consent and Authority to Create Profiles
You must not create or use a profile about another person unless you have an appropriate basis to do so. This may include consent, ownership of the relevant content, legal authority, family authority, personal authority, or another lawful and respectful reason, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
You must be especially careful when creating profiles involving deceased persons, children, vulnerable people, private family matters, health details, grief, trauma, confidential information, voice descriptions, or content provided by someone else.
7. Prohibited Uses
You must not use echoLife to:
- Violate any law, regulation, contract, privacy duty, or right of another person.
- Create profiles using content you do not have permission or authority to use.
- Impersonate a person for fraud, deception, harassment, manipulation, or abuse.
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as verified statements from a real person.
- Generate or distribute harmful, hateful, abusive, exploitative, or illegal content.
- Upload confidential, private, or sensitive information without appropriate authority.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, security controls, access controls, or authentication.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or attack the service.
- Use echoLife for medical, legal, financial, emergency, or professional decision-making.
- echoLife is intended for adult users. Users under 18 should not use echoLife. You must not create profiles about children or submit information about minors unless you have the legal authority to do so and the use is appropriate, respectful, and lawful.
8. AI-Generated Content
echoLife uses AI systems to generate profile summaries, chat replies, transcriptions, and voice outputs. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, emotionally imperfect, biased, unexpected, or inconsistent with the information you provided.
echoLife-generated content is not the real person, does not prove what a person believed, felt, said, wanted, or would have said, and should not be treated as a factual record or final authority.
You are responsible for reviewing generated content and deciding whether it is appropriate for your intended use.echoLife is a tool for private reflection and memory-based interaction, not a source of verified facts, personal instructions, or authoritative statements from any real person.
9. Voice, Memory, and Emotional Content
echoLife may create voice outputs or voice-like experiences based on user-provided profile details, selected voice settings, language settings, and AI-generated text. Voice output may not sound like any real person and may not reflect a person's actual voice, tone, beliefs, wishes, or personality.
Some users may find memory-based or voice-based interactions emotionally intense. echoLife is not a grief counseling, therapy, mental health, or crisis-support service. If you are in distress, seek support from trusted people or qualified professionals.
10. Ownership and License
As between you and echoLife, you retain the rights you have in the content you submit. You grant echoLife a limited license to host, store, process, transmit, display, modify for formatting, and use your submitted content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
You represent that you have all rights, permissions, and authority needed to grant this license for the content you submit.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
echoLife handles information according to the Privacy Policy. Because memories, traits, and free-form profile setup content may contain personal or sensitive information, you should carefully choose what you enter and avoid submitting content that you are not authorized to provide.
12. Usage Limits, Plans, and Changes
echoLife may apply limits to profiles, memories, profile generation, chat messages, voice generation, storage, or other features. Limits may vary by plan, account status, product configuration, or technical availability.
echoLife may change limits, features, plans, pricing, or availability at any time.
13. Deletion and Account Controls
echoLife may provide controls to edit or delete profiles, memories, traits, generated profiles, or account-related information. Current product deletion tools may be limited and may not immediately remove every copy from backups, logs, security records, or third-party provider systems.
echoLife may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create security risk, infringe rights, or use the product unlawfully.
14. Third-Party Services
echoLife may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, database storage, AI generation, transcription, voice generation, logging, monitoring, and other infrastructure. Your use of echoLife may involve processing by those services as needed to operate the product.
15. Disclaimers
echoLife is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, echoLife disclaims warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and error-free operation.
echoLife does not guarantee that generated profiles, chat replies, transcriptions, or voice outputs will be accurate, appropriate, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for your intended use.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, echoLife and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, emotional distress, misuse of user-provided content, unauthorized user submissions, inaccurate AI outputs, service interruption, or decisions made based on generated content.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.
17. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold echoLife harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your use of echoLife, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your infringement of another person's rights.
18. Changes to These Terms
echoLife may update these Terms as the product, law, providers, limits, pricing, or business practices change. The updated Terms will be posted in the app with a revised last-updated date. Continued use of echoLife after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise. If you are a consumer, you may have the right to bring claims before the courts of your place of residence where applicable law provides that right. Otherwise, any disputes relating to these Terms or echoLife will be submitted to the competent courts of Spain.
