This Privacy Policy explains how echoLife collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the echoLife website, workspace, profile generation tools, chat, voice features, feedback form, and related services.

echoLife is operated by XargoNet, located in Spain. For privacy-related questions, deletion requests, or data-related concerns, contact us at hello@echolife.world.

1. What echoLife Does

echoLife helps users create private, AI-assisted memory and personality profiles based on information entered by the user. This may include profile details, memories, traits, voice descriptions, generated profile summaries, text chat, and voice conversation features.

echoLife does not require users to enter government identifiers, postal addresses, payment details for the current product, or other identity documents. However, memories, traits, voice descriptions, relationship details, names, and free-form text may contain personal information if the user chooses to include it.

2. Information We Collect

echoLife may collect and process the following categories of information:

  • Account information, such as your email address, authentication account ID, account creation date, plan, and basic account status.
  • Profile setup information, such as a profile name, relationship, life stage, origin or location notes, physical description, voice description, language preference, and short summary.
  • Trait answers, including structured answers about personality, values, speaking style, emotions, relationships, habits, and presence.
  • Memories, including free-form questions, transcripts, stories, events, family traditions, habits, phrases, emotional moments, and other details entered by the user.
  • Generated profile content, including AI-generated summaries or internal profile context created from the information you provide.
  • Chat and voice usage, including user messages, assistant replies, transcribed audio text, generated speech requests, selected voice settings, and language settings.
  • Usage and limit data, such as profile creation events, memory creation events, profile generation events, chat message counts, voice generation counts, timestamps, and plan-limit information.
  • Feedback, including category, message, optional page context, and the account that submitted the feedback.
  • Technical information that may be created automatically by hosting, security, analytics, logging, or browser systems, such as IP address, device/browser information, timestamps, and error logs.

3. User Responsibility for Entered Content

echoLife relies on information that users choose to enter. You are responsible for the memories, traits, profile details, voice descriptions, messages, and other content you submit.

You should not enter information that you do not have the right, permission, or appropriate authority to use. This is especially important where content relates to another person, a deceased person, a child, a vulnerable person, private family matters, sensitive health or emotional details, confidential information, or content provided by someone else.

echoLife cannot independently verify whether you have permission to submit a particular memory, trait, voice description, or profile detail. By using echoLife, you confirm that you are responsible for the content you provide and for ensuring that your use of that content is lawful, respectful, and appropriate.

4. Sensitive Information

echoLife does not ask you to provide sensitive information by default. However, free-form memories and trait answers may include sensitive personal information if you choose to add it. This may include information about health, grief, family relationships, emotions, beliefs, ethnicity, sexuality, political opinions, financial circumstances, trauma, or other private matters.

Please avoid entering sensitive information unless it is necessary for your intended use, you have the right to provide it, and you are comfortable with echoLife processing it to provide the service.

5. How We Use Information

echoLife uses information to:

  • Create, update, display, and delete user-controlled profiles.
  • Save and organize memories, trait answers, profile details, and generated summaries.
  • Generate AI-assisted profile summaries and conversational replies.
  • Generate or play voice responses using selected voice and language settings.
  • Enforce product usage limits, account limits, and plan restrictions.
  • Provide account pages, settings, feedback handling, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Protect the service, prevent misuse, debug errors, and maintain reliability.
  • Improve the product experience, troubleshoot issues, and understand usage patterns, subject to the privacy choices and legal limits that apply.

6. AI and Third-Party Processing

echoLife uses AI services to generate profile summaries, chat responses, transcription, and text-to-speech output. This may require sending relevant user-provided content to AI service providers, such as Google Gemini or other providers used by echoLife, so that the requested feature can operate.

Examples of content that may be processed by AI providers include profile details, trait answers, memories, chat messages, transcribed speech, voice descriptions, selected voice names, and language instructions. echoLife sends only the content needed for the feature being used where practical. Provider-specific data handling, retention, and training restrictions may depend on the provider, service plan, configuration, and terms in force at the time of use. EchoLife does not control all technical processing performed by third-party providers.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, emotionally imperfect, or inconsistent. echoLife does not guarantee that generated content accurately represents any real person.

7. Legal Bases and Consent

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may require a legal basis for processing personal information. echoLife may process information because it is necessary to provide the service you request, because you have consented, because echoLife has a legitimate interest in operating and securing the service, or because processing is required by law.

When you enter information about another person, you are responsible for having an appropriate basis, permission, authority, or other lawful reason to provide and use that information.

8. Data Sharing

echoLife does not sell your profile setup content, memories, traits, or generated profiles. echoLife may share or process information with:

  • Authentication and database providers used to run the service.
  • AI, transcription, and voice generation providers.
  • Hosting, infrastructure, security, logging, and monitoring tools.
  • Support or operational providers when needed to respond to issues or maintain the product.
  • Legal, regulatory, or safety authorities if required by law or if necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.

9. Security

echoLife uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect user data. These may include authenticated access, protected API routes, database access controls, row-level security policies, usage limits, and separation of user-owned records.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for choosing carefully what information you enter into echoLife.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

echoLife keeps profile setup content, memories, traits, generated profiles, usage events, and account-related information for as long as needed to provide the service, enforce limits, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, comply with law, or until you delete it where deletion is available.

The current product includes controls to delete an individual profile and associated profile data from the workspace. Additional account-level deletion, bulk deletion, and export controls may be added as the product develops.

When a profile is deleted, echoLife aims to delete the profile content associated with it, including related memories, traits, and generated profile summaries. Some limited non-content records, such as security logs, usage-limit records, error logs, or backup copies, may remain for a limited period where technically necessary or legally required.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have privacy rights such as the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can manage some information directly in the app by editing or deleting profiles, memories, and related setup content. For requests that cannot be completed in the app, contact echoLife using the contact details listed below. echoLife may need to verify your identity before completing certain privacy requests.

12. Children and Minors

echoLife is intended for adult users. Users under 18 should not use EchoLife. Users should not create profiles about children or enter information about minors unless they have the legal authority to do so and the use is appropriate, respectful, and lawful.

13. International Use

echoLife services, databases, infrastructure, and AI providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Data protection laws may differ between countries.

14. Cookies and Local Storage

echoLife may use essential cookies, local storage, or similar technologies required for login, authentication, session management, security, and core service functionality.

echoLife does not currently use advertising cookies. If non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies are added in the future, this policy will be updated and any required consent controls will be provided.

15. Changes to This Policy

echoLife may update this Privacy Policy as the product, features, providers, legal requirements, or business practices change. The updated version will be posted in the app with a revised last-updated date.
